Having Faith Forever

Many years ago, I remember attending a retreat at a house in Coral Springs, Florida. As I sat halfway up the staircase, I could see my brothers and sisters who were eagerly listening to the lesson taught that day. As the meeting progressed so did my anxieties, for I could not totally grasp the spiritual ideas being related. Because they were so contrary to my own beliefs, I began lashing out verbally at the degree of difficulty one could have trying to absorb and express these truths which were so well documented in the scriptures.

When I had finished, what seemed to be a long absence of sound ensued. Then a tall but graceful lady rose to her feet, walked over and came up the staircase where I was sitting, gently placed her outstretched hand upon my shoulder and spoke softly these words, “It’s OK, everything is going to be alright.” Her reassurance brought tears to my eyes and eventually to my soul.

Recently this great lady made her transition and though she is not seen on this plane as before, I still feel her outstretched hand upon my shoulder. The lesson she taught was also her name.  God speed her on her journey in peace.
