In Remembrance

A lovely Christmas cactus at our home, a gift from Faith, calls to mind her words in presenting it. She said, ‘Margaret! even the desert blooms.’

Countless times, over the years, I have seen the fruits of her light and love bloom in the desert of my own heart and the hearts of those whose life she touched.

In the one spirit let us join, in deepest gratitude, with family and friends seen and unseen in blessed remembrance of that Palm Sunday some thirty five years ago, in a small church in Lake Worth, when CHRIST light the planet in a most unique and personal way to each and every one of us.

We thank You Father for this light that Faith so generously and courageously shared without exception, that is the bonding of our own inner integration, the bonding to Faith, to each other, and out to the universe in all that is pure and just and of good report.

You taught us through Faith, that we were worthy; that our broken hearts could be healed and made new; that CHRIST could live, express and create, within the unfoldment of our own individual destinies.

We release into your hands the grieving in our humanity at her untimely transition and we do rejoice with you Father in her new life.

Nothing is lost in Christ! And we embrace new beginnings of our shared path into eternity with our beloved friend. Each day, more to know, ‘the sound of the coming of her footsteps,’ and yours, Father, in spirit and truth – SHALOM, AMEN.
